The Pinot Gris of Alsace

Pinot Gris of Alsace
Appreciated for its aromatic and charming character, Alsace Pinot Gris is intimately linked to the region's cuisine and good drinking.
Since 2007, Pinot Gris d'Alsace no longer carries the name Tokay, which is reserved for Hungary and its emblematic sweet wines.
A noble grape variety
Pinot Gris d'Alsace is one of the 4 noble grape varieties of the region. It is therefore accepted in the appellations Grands Crus, Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains de Nobles.
When weather conditions are ideal, we occasionally produce sweet and syrupy wines from this grape variety. Like our small structure, these rare wines are available in limited quantities.
In any case, this variety represents a little less than 10% of our production in still wine.
A local product
The Pinot Gris d'Alsace is a wine with a generous character. Particularly aromatic, its perfumes of apricot, honey, and smoky notes are seductive. Naturally low in acidity and opulent, it generally reveals a high level of alcohol and a golden, even pink color.
The Pinot Gris of the region can be dry, semi-dry, mellow or sweet.
Aromatic notes to accompany your dishes
The Pinot Gris of Alsace is a full-bodied wine, round and long in the mouth, balanced by a beautiful acid structure, giving it all its letters of nobility. That's why it loves dishes with a strong gustatory personality.
It can be matched with the classics of Alsatian gastronomy as well as with Chef’s know-how. Pinot Gris can allow itself all the audacity by accompanying marvelously the white and red meats such as roast pork or veal, duck.
